Isn't that pig adorable? Dana's friend Crystal brought these paper medallions to the baby shower and they just happened to fit the pink, green, and white theme.
The lace doily belonged to Dana's Grandmother Sandy and the gingham lamp shade was also passed on from her. The pink panels at the window were originally hung in Dana's very first bedroom in Frederick, Maryland. So here's to holding onto things!
Into this:
Next was transforming this lamp base from puke green to antique white:
We then spray painted some wooden letters from Hobby Lobby:
So Charlotte's name could be spelled out in ballerina pink lights:
The changing table was picked up for a mere $15 at a yard sale. Dana's brother Sean and his fiance' Robin got her the cute butterflies. After all, what's a barnyard without butterflies? Dana hung this bird wall hanger for Charlotte's towels that also matches the little bird house she has. Yep, that little missy/princess already has her own towels!
That lil princess also already has her own laundry basket:
No barnyard would be complete without some lambs though, so Dana scored these adorable sheep on one of our yard sailing expeditions:
She also found this cute critter God knows where and displayed him on the window sill. No, I don't think he's creepy. Really! He adds to the Charlotte's Web barnyard theme. Hey, at least it isn't a spider!
These sweet white frames hung over the crib where had from Ikea. Dana filled them with quotes and illustrations from the book Charlotte's Web.
This picture just does not do justice to the frames or this gorgeous quilt that Graham's mother purchased for the baby. It will be a heirloom for sure!
We would also be remiss not to send a shout-out to Susan, who gifted Dana the crib, teeth marks and all, which we think to be very adorable. Thanks, Susan!
It was a busy, busy month indeed. As I was painting and running around, I too, was working on some heirloom gifts for Charlotte:
We are hoping to use the crochet hat for a debut picture real soon. So that's a wrap on the decor, now we are just waiting, or is that expecting?
She is going to be soooo mad at me for posting this. Sorry doober, I still call a mother's prerogative on you. You think you look fat, I think you look gorgeous!
Here's to joining that exclusive and blessed grandmother sorority. I can't wait to meet Miss Charlotte!
